With Texas' long ties to the oil industry, I hadn't really considered them the state to be a key wind energy producer until I noticed the long lines of turbines as we flew by on the way back from Mexico. In reality, Texas produces the most wind energy of any state and provides almost 12% of its power through wind energy.

I was happy to be in the states and happy when my plane started the final approach home as the sun was setting.
