8 June 2024 Car Show Time

It seemed like Pontiac night at an annual local car show. An early spotting of a 65 GTO was a great way to get the visit started.
They called them "wide-track." They were just wide highway cruisers.
A well-loved Ford...
This Honda K car was by far the smallest of the event. It made our miata look huge.
Meep... Meep

We stopped at Redbrook to find a few geocaches while on the trails. The labrynth was a peaceful journey before we began geocaching.
Lupines were in bloom to add to our journey.

Maybe this isn't the safest way to reach the river...

24 May 2024 Visiting Blue Heron Preserve

Blue Heron Preserve is an old quarry that has been preserved as a wildlife area. With plenty of water and plants to sustain the visitors, this popular park often delivers great birding.
A lone male wood duck was visible on the far reaches of the smaller pond today.
A yellow warbler stopping at a branch overhead
Daisies along the trail
When you gotta scratch, you gotta scratch. This swan made for a ungraceful model as we finished our walk.

Heading into the shelter of the vegetation. The female is almost out of sight.

For me, orioles are rare images.
