21 August 2024 Blue Supermoon

It was called a blue supermoon, but they all look tan to brown. I was in town. It was a fun bit of night sky watching.

Our day included a pleasant visit to Lake Metroparks Jordan Creek. The falls were flowing lightly.

21 April 2024 Spring at Walter C Best Wildlife Preserve

The Best Sand Preserve is part of an older sand quarry. When Walter Best passed the family donated about 100 acres to Geauga Parks to create a wildlife preserve. It was a quiet place this evening, but I was able to spot a very nice goldfinch.

As I ended my walk and was leaving, there was a beautiful full moon rising.

 It was a perfect day for chores and walking the property with the dogs.  The evening brought an exceptional moon.
