We were headed off for vacation when we spotted this old school camper. It showed a lot of love and care to be in this shape.

This trio of cormorants looked like a band of pirates sitting on a small outcropping.

I never flew radio control planes as a youth. My experience working in a hobby shop had too many tales of the plane lost on the water. This nice looking rc Navy plane looked great on the water. It looked great skimming for a water landing. Then came the flip. I hope they managed a recovery, but this was still on the water as I made my way around.

Meanwhile, back on a land focus, the bees were busy with the last gathering on the new england aster in the fields before winter arrived.

16 September 2023 Visiting Parker Dam With Friends

It was time for our annual visit to Parker Dam to meet with friends from Geocaching. The ammo can toss was very competitive this year. After our visit we spent time enjoying the park and fall nature sights.

The small pond near the pavillion is a great spot to see a cedar waxwing.

The great blue heron was a bit of a surprise.

The true surprise was this yellowlegs.

Butterflies and bees were visiting the park's goldenrod.

15 September 2023 Albion Fair Time

The Albion Fair is an annual tradition for us. This year the weather cooperated fully for a perfect day. The local kids were in fine form for dress your pet competition.

When the adults take to the arena, the dust kicks up with spirited riding displays.

This old Ford farm tractor was gleaming with a fresh coat of paint.

We always ride the grand old carousel at this fair.
