20 April 2018 Sunnybrook

Geauga Park District placed a new multi cache at Sunnybrook Preserve. It was a great reason to take an evening walk and look for wildflowers.

There is no guessing where the first stage is located.

Someone built a great fort along the side of the trail.

Some day I will actually be able to try ramps in a dish instead of just seeing them on the side of the trail. They are plentiful in the park.

Most of the wildflowers had either not yet opened or were closed for the evening when we passed through. We've been here many times before, but were still surprised by the large numbers of bloodroot along the side of the trail.

The wet areas of the park always seems like a perfect place for frogs and even wood ducks, but they never seem to attract a gathering. This area was completely quiet as we passed through near sunset.
