We used to spend a fair amount of time in Medina County visiting the county parks and geocaching. Our visits have fallen off over the years. There were new caches in Allardale offering a long walk around the trails. It was an easy choice for a visit.
There has been much work at the park since our last visit. A new trail with steps has been added leading up to a new lodge and a small pond.
One of our first visits to this park was to spend a fun day at a
geocaching event. When we were here that time, the nudist camp was still standing. It has collapsed into history since that date.
It was nearly five when we found the last cache in the park. Despite the early hour, daylight was dropping leaving us to hustle the dogs so we were out of the park before closing.
On the way home we were surprised to see the Wienermobile. I never liked Oscar Meyer wieners, but always knew about the Wienermobile. I've seen it a few times over the years, but spotted it and immediately looked for a place to capture an image. Luckily, it was stopping at a drop off location.
