12 September 2020 Return to Bayard Cutoff

We had walked one section of this old Pennsylvania Railroad grade earlier.  We had half the trail and new adventures left for a Saturday afternoon.  The early part of the trail was flat grade with plenty of wet areas off to the side hosting frogs and wildflowers.

It was hot so we were carrying loads of water for Lizzie and Phineas.  They were happy for a long water break and I was happy to lose some of the weight.

The back section of the trail was much different with very nice rock formations on each side.

When we reached the end of the line, Liz wa happy for another water break and a long rest before we make the return walk.
