Our first stop of the day was at Tobyhanna Creek. There were geocaches in the area. Beyond that was a first visit to the beautiful Tobyhanna Creek. The weather wasn't perfect but the water was.
We spotted the first fiddleheads of the season near the wet areas by the creek.
A salamander is always a welcome sight.
Dwarf ginseng blossoming at the side of the trail.
Early forget-me-nots were already in blossom.
It had been a long time since we visited PEEC. The weather wasn't grand, but we enjoyed an afternoon hike back to the waterfalls. Rocks near the stream had a number of fossils embedded.
