9 October 2010 Caching Crawford and Sherman Bridge

We spent a few hours hunting a group of caches in a gameland in Crawford County. Our first cache took us across this stream. It was a little deep so we started the day with wet feet. Luckily, it was warm.

We didn't find the cache at this bridge, but I did spot this nice PennDOT plaque on the bridge. The plaque was blocked by a guardrail so this was the best shot.

Carman Bridge is the last covered bridge in Erie County PA. The second last one was burned a few years ago by a few jerks with gasoline. It had a lot more character than Carman.
