8 November 2015 Erie National Wildlife Refuge

We expected our late fall walk to be too late for any duck sightings, but one can always hope. The weather was perfect for a walk on the trails. It has been a long time since we last walked these trails with our then dogs Becky, Toli, and Gwen. Near the end of that walk Toli became very sick. Within a few short weeks she was gone, most likely from cancer. It's strange that past memories can haunt a place. Hopefully today helped remove some of that day's memories.
