23 September 2018 Turtlehead

We were out for a favorite walk along the Allegheny River. It was late for wildflowers and each time we checked more of the turtlehead plants had been chewed off at the top by browsing deer. There was little chance of seeing any blossoms and just a hope for a recovery from the browsing next year. Except...
