Most years, our new years activities includes a mix of cold winds, snowy trails, and ice. This year's walk was cold and peaceful with clean paths.
No ducks on the ponds today, but there is plenty of beaver evidence.

1 January 2019 New Year's in a Game Lands
We always try to go for a walk and find a couple geocaches to start the new year. Ironically we were back in the same gamelands where we spent a good part of last winter looking for a series of caches. During our most recent visit here, Phineas lunged sideways while we were walking near a wetlands. His sudden move pulled both of us into the water. I decided I wanted a break from this area. With the new year it was time to return.
