3 July 2018 Rookery Walk

The Rookery used to be a frequent visit for us. It has deafening spring peepers and great spring wildflowers. We were late for both, but enjoyed seeing a snake who had been eating recently judging by the bulges.

Female red-winged blackbirds are probably everywhere, but they are so much less obvious than the male of the species and easy to miss. We spotted this one.
