Technically this was a military transport C47 in its working life and not a DC-3, but it has been a long time since I've seen one. This poor beauty has fallen on hard times, but still stands as a graceful monument to a day when airflight was fairly new and amazing. She appeared airworthy as late as 1994 and still appears mostly intact. She has an interesting history past her military service. Apparently she served time as the jump plane for a skydiving crew that performed at Kings Island. She was sitting at an airport in Western Ohio when her owner was killed in another plane crash.
