4 April 2012 Lonely Caches

Last summer Ali was able to join me for a working trip to the Cortland area. We were able to spend a couple evenings hunting caches along the Finger Lakes Trail in the area. I was surprised at how long caches can go between finds in this area. We found a number that hadn't been visited in six months and a couple that had been a year between visits. This evening I hunted a few more that would have given Lonely Cache Club points. They weren't really long or strenuous walks, but each had somehow gone a long time without visitors. This image was taken on the walk to the last one. There were moon crater size holes on the road going forward and a convenient place to stash Ariel so I walked the 1/2 mile round-trip.
