16 April 2016 Wildwood Park

We stopped for a visit at Cleveland Metroparks' Wildwood Park to look for a cache. We were hoping for a duck or two, but nothing of the variety and numbers along the shore. It was the most ducks I have ever seen in a day.

We were barely out of the vehicle when this pair of mallards was spotted. It's easy to find mallards in northeast Ohio, but there was so much more to come.

Wildwood recently ended its time as part of Ohio State Parks. As part of Cleveland Metroparks, it is a busy, active park. On this pleasant spring day it was quite busy.

After finding the cache we headed for a walk through the woods and a loop back to the beach. The woods walk yielded an opportunity to see a wood thrush on the ground.

Eventually we reached the beach and the multitude of ducks.
