7 April 2019 Erie National Wildlife Refuge Clean-Up

This was our third ENWR clean-up.  We arrived a little early and walked the trail for a bit while waiting for staff to arrive.

Skunk cabbage was in bloom near a wet area aby the start of the trail.

We offered to cover the same stretch of public road at the border of the refuge as we had covered the prior year.  We correctly assumed that there would still be plenty to pick-up after twelve months.

This is the second time there has been a discarded CD in the items discarded.  Last year's appeared to be a homemade favorites CD.  This year seemed to be a country women's collection.

Our song today was happy as we gathered up trash.

On the way out we spotted turtles sunning on logs.

We stopped at our favorite spot for eagle sightings on the way home.  It hasn't been too productive for eagles lately, but we were able to spot sandhill cranes this evening.
