It seems like we often visit Observatory Park in the gloomiest days of winter. It is a popular park, but once past the trails closest to the main parking visitors seem to disappear. Today was no difference, The sky never got much lighter than dusk and we only saw three other people on the trail. We were hoping to spot a few birds, but they weren't out when we passed through.
The Nassau Observatory is one of two observatories in the park. We walked the park today and reached as far as this observatory before turning back. We were one day closer to spring.
