27 March 2021 Geocaching to Pennsylvania

We were spending the weekend in Pennsylvania and wanted to find some caches.  We started off with Ohio finds in two Ashatabula cemeteries.  The first, Dorset Cemetery had nice zinc markers.

You know you are in an old rural cemetery when.... it has a one-holer for visitors

and a water pump for flowers and plants.  (The pump works.  The one-holer?)

From Dorset we moved to Andover Township Cemetery.  This historical location has markers for two Revolutionary War soldiers buried here.

We were finally going caching in a gamelands.  It seemed like eternity.  The spring beauty was in bloom while the cohash was up and unfurling.

Lizzie lives to be outdoors.  A walk in a gamelands is a delight for her.  She is slowly losing her shyness in front of a camera.

We needed to drive to the end of a gamealnd road to turn around and leave.  We were lucky to make a long distance spotting of a mourning cloak butterfly.  We usually only see this butterfly every few years.

Our last find was at a canoe/kayak launch site.  We walked to the end of the park to see the old steel bridge.  Pennsyvania has been diligently replacing these old bridges so this one will probably has at best a few years remaining.  They are from a different time.  I will miss them.
