4 July 2021 Visiting Quehenna Wildlife Area

It looks like a Subaru ad....

We seem to make a stop at Quehenna each weekend of the 4th.  The holiday with longer days makes the longer drive easier to manage.  It's also prime time for blueberries and raspberries along the trail.  It was a good way to spend the holiday.

We spotted the leaves of a round-leaved orchid, but there was no spike.

This geocache has been resting in the woods for nearly seventeen years.

We had become used to not seeing this pest in the woods.  This year gypsy moths seem to be rallying.  We kill them whenever we spot them.  They are very destructive to oak trees.
