21 July 2010 Team Nature Nutz in Central Jersey

This is the nicest community garden we have ever seen. There is a small park and woods attached to the garden which the community garden participants have started to maintain and dress up with trails and shrubs. It's a great effort and well done.

Interesting bug.

Unless they are nesting in a rookery, it is unusual to see a great blue perched this high in a tree.

I don't remember seeing ospreys in New Jersey last year. This year, they seemed to be everywhere, including this power tower.

After a couple of misfires at caches we weren't going to hunt, we ended up at Salem River Wildlife Management Area. It was hot and most of the wildlife was staying quiet, but I bet this is a super spot during migration seasons.
