We left the sleepy dogs and drove into town for a walk down the main street and a visit to the farmers' market.
This wasn't what we expected when we arrived in Van.
We still enjoyed a walk on the trails. The streams were brown from run-off after the heavy rains.
We also spotted this old wooden oil tank. We spot them very occasionally on our walks. I don't know when they were no longer used in Pennsylvania for oil fields, but they were still present in Texas as late as the early 70's.
