24 March 2013 Pete's Pond

A number of years ago we visited a small place in Lake County called Pete's Pond. It recently became a part of Lake Metroparks and had a new geocache. We stopped back today on a short day of a couple of caches in Lake County. The preserve has been upgraded with some established trails, but still retains the undeveloped quality we liked on our first visit. On the return portion of our walk, Ali spotted a pair of wood ducks nestled in behind the mallards.
