4 January 2014 Caching in Deep Snow
We wanted to get out before the world got really cold so we visited Bedford Reservation with Gwen and Phineas. Gwen loves the cold, but Phineas has a much lighter coat and gets colder quicker. He gets really excited now when he sees his snowphlake coat. Since he's a beagle, his nose is constantly sniffing and pointed to the ground. In today's deep snow, his coat acted as a snowplow so he ended up with a lot of snow behind his chest. The day was beautiful despite the frigid temperatures. In this weather finding half the caches buried below the snow is lucky. We were given an extra advantage since the local hiders of these usually have very good coordinates. They made the day more enjoyable.
