Some days I just want to geocache. Today was one of those days. We started our day with a visit to Geauga's Observatory Park. The park system has a theme of caches at parks on land which used to be homesites. The cache was a two-stage multi with the first stage at an old home site and the final near an old sawmill. The sawmill is heavily overgrown but the home ruins still have some old appliances in what used to be the basement. We never knew the old homestead was still this visible.
The grey and damp weather of Ohio was just a warm up for the cold, wet trails in Pennsylvania. We had a fun walk through a gamelands, but I was happy to feel the warmth of the house when we were done.
