We were out for the afternoon to visit a few Ashtabula covered bridges as part of an Adventure Lab. With the trees bare, the tourists had fled so we were mostly alone for the day. Our first stop was Harpersfield.
The county has mixed quilt square patterns with covered bridges to create a weekend tourist attraction. Most of the quilt squares grace barns throughout the county, but some are joined into the covered bridges.
Our last stop was the county seat in Jefferson. We started a multi at the town's community park enjoying house finches in the treetops at the edge of the park.
