We were ready for a walk and so were the dogs. It was cold, but the snow was low so low we decided a rail trail would be a good option. We chose one near Garrettsville with a series of hides placed by a newer cacher. Our first search wasn't promising as we missed the find but we continued on the trail.
We both looked for this one a bit. I'm more fearless without the dogs to manage on the trail. Slipping in a slope like this could be disaster. The cache hidden here got a look from us out and back but wasn't found.
I thought this was an old wall until I looked across to the other side of the old railroad grade and realized there was a matching one in much worse shape on the other side. This must have been an old road approach for a bridge over the railroad.
We missed this hide on the way out. We stopped for a second look on the way back. Like an earlier hide, this snowy hill could spell disaster with a couple of dogs. Ali was over the side and looking when I spotted the hide with the zoom on the camera. The small container is visible in this image.
We found most and missed a few. At the end, we had exercise. The dogs had exercise. One more cold day of winter was behind us.
