22 April 2012 Chores

We stayed around the house today with some chores to complete. One of those chores was to walk the trails with the dogs and pull garlic mustard, multiflora rose, and barberry to keep the invasives down. It wasn't all work as we got to enjoy the wildflowers and walk the dogs.

Gwen has always known how to relax on the trail.

Ali has done walks on conservation properties where the staff hangs garlic mustard in tree splits to dry it better. The stuff is awful so I will do anything to keep it down.

This was the first time we spotted a morel on the property. Ali found it when we were almost finished with our garlic mustard adventures. Usually when we finally spot something, we start to notice it in many more spots. We'll see.
