Graves and Vaults Beneath the Church
Westminster Burial Ground is located around and under Westminster Church. The burial ground was there first. In the 1850's, Baltimore's politicians decided that cemeteries needed be a part of church grounds. What else was there to do, but build a huge church on top of the burial grounds. It's an amazing place. Edgar Allen Poe is buried here as is his family. The cemetery is also home to fourteen Revolutionary War Generals.
