I was really tired on my first evening in town. It seems that's almost the rule these days. So I amused myself by taking a walk on the Appalachian Trail and visiting a few waymarks near the AT. We've hiked the AT in Pennsylvania before near Deleware Water Gap. I had a great time there. The AT near Carlisle is much different than other portions I've hiked. Near Carlisle, it's really close to residential areas and farms. It seemed strange to be on the AT with a corn field by my side.
