11 June 2014 Saltese
After two evenings of exploring familiar places together, it was time to make a first stop at Saltese Uplands Conservation Area. This was a wide-open area with caches mostly hidden in exposed rock structures. It was quite an evening of bird sightings. Near the end of our walk we were visited by a coyote. It might have been concerning except it was shadowing us and watching from a distant rock. It seemed to be so obsessed with its fleas or other parasites that chasing prey was not possible. It was a fun evening out at a new location.
Hooker's Onion
Cedar Waxwing
Lawrence's Warbler
Eastern Kingbird
Red-Tailed Hawk
