29 July 2013 First Evening in Spokane

When I fly into Spokane the evening before, I reach the hotel between midnight and 1am (3-4am my normal) time. The next day, I start to get really tired between 6 and 7, so the first evening is usually a quiet walk somewhere. It was 100 degrees as I left the office so I grabbed a tall boy before heading off to Riverside State Park. Riverside was a new state park for me to visit. 100 degrees will keep a lot of people indoors so I had a solitary walk along the river. I was able to find four caches and spot a great looking bird moving in some shrubs (no picture :( ). The sun was dropping as I left the trail and the temperature was down to a cool 86.
